Cardinals Play Hard But Fall To Cobras
The Bethlehem Academy Cardinals gave it a hard fight at home on Tuesday night but fell to the Triton Cobras 41-38.
B.A. was without starters Jack Clark and Alex Bongers. So others had to step up and play more and longer during the game.
It was a tight first half and it was a 3 point deficit at the half for the Cards 21-18. Second half B.A. got a little more fire going and the lead changed hands several times late in the game. B.A. had a 37-36 lead with 92 seconds left. Triton put down some free throws and Trump scored for the Carddinals to keep it a 1 point deficit at 40 seconds left. With 8.1 seconds left the Cardinals needed 3 to tie and could not get the shot to drop.
