The Minnesota Fastpitch Coaches Association released their latest rankings.  Several movements were made as the season is about to wind down.

The Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals dropped more in the polls despite not losing.  The Cardinals three losses this season have been against the top ranked Class A and Class AA teams (United South Central, Randolph and Kenyon-Wanamingo, all fellow members of the Gopher Conference.

In Class AA defending State Champion Randolph is still atop followed by Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton), St. Agnes, both in the #2 position.  Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial fell from #2 to #4, and Caledonia #5.  Chatfield is #8.

Class AAA still has two-time defending state champion Mankato East on top despite a loss to crosstown rival Mankato West.  The Scarlets jumped from #11 to #7 with that victory but they are tied at #7 with Northfield who defeated Mankato West.

I don't believe in ties in polls at all, but it really makes no sense when the teams have played and one of them defeated the other.  Stewartville, Byron and Winona are in the Others receiving votes category.

Class AAAA Forest Lake is still number one.  Farmington #2, Rosemount #5.
