
Minnesota Fastpitch Coaches Association Polls
The latest Minnesota Fastpitch Coaches Association rankings were released with some interesting results.
For example, the Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals moved up from Others Receiving Votes to #3 in Class 1A despite a walk-off loss to Kenyon-Wanamingo last week.
Fellow Gopher Conference members United South Central and Randolph are the top ranked teams in the state in Class 1A and Class 2A respectively. The Rebels are in Section Two.
USC had been in a first-place tie with Red Lake Falls, but the Eagles fell to East Polk 4-0 on Thursday, April 17, 2025, which dropped them down to #6.
Bethlehem Academy is tied at #3 with Edgerton/SW MN Christian who jumped all the way from Others Receiving Votes and Wabasso also leaping from outside the top ten to that spot.
Badger/Greenbush-Middle River is now #2 in Class 1A and hosts Red Lake Falls Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Section One team Houston had been in the top ten but dropped to Others Receiving Votes and Southland is also in that category.
Section Two has Cleveland at #7 and New Ulm Cathedral #10 in addition to Sleepy Eye included among the top teams in Class 1A.
In Class 2A Section Two representative Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial is #2 with Section One representative Caledonia #5. In Others Receiving Votes Section One has Chatfield and St. Charles mentioned.
Section Two has Belle Plaine dropping from Top Ten to Others Receiving Votes.
Class 3A, two-time defending State Champion Mankato East continues to dominate a very tough Big Nine Conference. In their four conference games they have outscored their opponents 41-5 and defeated Class 4A #8 ranked Maple Grove Friday, April 18, 2025, 6-1. Winning pitcher Kylinn Stangl scattered 4 hits and clobbered a home run among the Cougars 11 hits. Mankato East also stole six bases.
Fellow Big Nine member Winona is #3 along with Academy of Holy Angels and St. Francis. The Winhawks Host Mankato East Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Northfield and Mankato West are in the Others Receiving Votes category.
Stewartville is #10 in Class 3A, and St. Peter is also in Others Receiving Votes.
Forest Lake remains atop the Class 4A poll. The Rangers have outscored their opponents 40 to 8 and have four games this week.
South Suburban Conference schools Rosemount and Farmington are #2 and #3.
