1984 Faribault Heritage Days Parade, Part 4
Faribault Heritage Days is one of the highlights of summer, and the annual local festival will soon be celebrated again. Faribault Heritage Days will take place June 15-19 with a plethora of offerings to keep the whole family entertained.
The event boasts a craft and vendor show, soap box car races, a carnival, Heritage Hustle 5K, historic tours, family fun, the grand parade and more. We’ll be telling you all about the events as we get closer to celebration, but right now, let’s go back in time and see what part of the festivities looked like back in 1984. Previously, I shared Part One and Part Two and Part Three of the home video footage found on YouTube of the 1984 parade.
The two segments below show the Garfield Elementary School float featuring Garfield the cartoon cat, the River Bend Nature Center, and the Warsaw Community Center. It also shows square dancer, the Rice County Radio Control Flyers Club, a marching band, and more.
