There was one class in Minnesota high school baseball from 1947 until 1975. Two classes started in 1976. Expanded to 3 classes in 2000 and the current 4 classes in 2016.

Action resumes Tuesday in Rochester, Dundas, Austin. Section 1A and 1AAA title tilt in Austin. Section 1AA in Rochester and Section 1AAAA in Dundas.

Hayfield, Zumbrota-Mazeppa, Cannon Falls, New Prague are still in their section class winner's bracket,

Cannon Falls, Pine Island, LaCrescent, Zumbrota-Mazeppa remain in winner's bracket and play on Memorial Day.

#1 seed is Caledonia while #2 seed is La Crescent. Defending Section 1AA Champion Cannon Falls is #8 seed, Pine Island #4, Zumbrota-Mazeppa #3, Randolph #12.

Class 2A Gold Standard Academic teams included Blooming Prairie. Silver Standard teams were Cannon Falls, Zumbrota-Mazeppa and Tri-City United.
