MSHSL Section 1AA Baseball Bracket Completed

The top two seedings in MSHSL Section 1AA Baseball Tournament received byes for first round action Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

#1 seed Caledonia (19-1) lost their season opener 4-0 to Zumbrota-Mazeppa in early April. #2 seed La Crescent (15-5) is on the other side of the 14 team field.

The Warriors will see the winner of the Cannon Falls (9-9) vs Chatfield (9-10) game in Caledonia on Saturday, May 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. The Bombers get to play at home Wednesday because of their 6-4 win Saturday against Winona Cotter.

Cannon Falls is the defending Section 1AA Champion and their Head Coach Bucky Lindow told KDHL on the Cannon Falls Coaches Show Saturday he can't recall a tournament field of teams with so many talented #1 pitchers.

First round is single elimination before double elimination kicks in.

The Lancers will host Saturday, May 25, 2024 the winner of #7 Lake City (10-10) and Plainview-Elgin-Millville (9-9) who play in Lake City Wednesday.

#3 seed Zumbrota-Mazeppa (11-5) will have Grand Meadow-Leroy-Ostrander- Kingsland (2-11) arrive in Zumbrota for a 5:00 p.m. game Wednesday.

The winner of that contest will play the winner of #6 Winona Cotter (13-8) and #11 Rochester Lourdes (5-15) Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the high seed.

#4 seed Pine Island (12-8) have the #13 St. Charles Saints (7-13) marching into their community Wednesday. The victor will face the winner of #5 Dover-Eyota (13-7) and #12 Randolph at the highest seed.

After Saturday scheduled games the scene shifts to Mayo Field in Rochester for a couple of Memorial Day battles.

The Section 1AA Champion will be determined on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
