Al Spitzack is the chairman of the North Morristown 4th of July annual observance and will be on today's AM Minnesota program at 9:30AM.

If you can't tune in then, drop by the KDHL YouTube channel and get the details about the fun-filled day on the grounds of Trinity Lutheran Church in North Morristown. The event has been going on for 125 years and organizers believe they are the oldest 4th of July celebration in Minnesota.

A celebration button is required for all their events and is $2. The food and game stands open at 9AM, with the official flag raising ceremony at 9:45AM.

The parade begins at 10AM and the grand marshals this year are Al and Charla Spitzack. After the parade is the patriotic program and, once again thanks to some supporters, KDHL will be broadcasting the program live.

The Jolly Huntsman Band provides old tyme music in the beer garden from noon to 4PM. Monroe Crossing is back and a new band called the Larry Stephenson Band will be performing throughout the day. Downtown Sound is back in the beer garden from 7:30-11:30PM.

Al tells me the fireworks display is going to be their biggest to date. There's plenty of delicious food and the parking is free. Proceeds benefit Trinity Lutheran School in North Morristown.
