Minnesota Gospel Opry Christmas Show This Weekend
Leon Lundstrom, founder of the Minnesota Gospel Opry and his daughter Larissa Lundstrom joined the KDHL AM Minnesota program to reveal details about their upcoming Christmas show.
The show is scheduled for this Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Destiny Christian Church in Apple Valley.
The Minnesota Gospel Opry has been calling Crossroads Church in Lakeville home but due to renovations there this show was moved to the new location not far from the intersection of Dakota County Road 42 and Cedar Avenue.
Address is 7741 147th Street West. The Lundstroms noted it is located behind a Walmart store.
Destiny Church also has a Owatonna, Mn. campus.
Joining the Lundstroms on the KDHL Radio show was Josh Singletary with Gospel group Tribute Quartet. They will be performing at the show.
Singletary said they will not only do some Christmas songs but also some of their songs that have been big hits.
Tribute Quartet started 18 years ago this New Year's Eve, Singletary said the years have flown by and the group enjoys coming to Minnesota.
Singletary feels like it's coming home because his wife is from Farmington, Mn.
The doors will open 4:30 p.m. with Leon and Larissa Lundstrom kicking off the show at 5:00 p.m.
Tribute Quartet has won numerous music awards and have been multi-Dove Award nominees.
In addition to Singletary other members of the group include Gary Casto, Gus Gaches, and Ian Owens.
On their website the group states, "Tribute has remained steadfast in their goal to make music that is both timely and relevant to the current musical scene and their fanbase while propelling their mission to share the Hope of the Gospel."
Tribute Quartet has sung internationally as they, "continue to shine a light into a world in need of truth, hope, love and healing."
The estimated length of Sunday's show is approximately 90 minutes.
