The Cannon Falls Bombers lost last Friday to the Rochester Lourdes Eagles on a 13 yard field goal with two seconds to go in the game at Rochester.

This week's Minnesota Associated Press High School Football Rankings dropped them to #6, I believe.

The AP actually have Rochester Lourdes in both the #5 and #6 positions in Class 3A.  It is my assumption that Cannon Falls is #6 and Lourdes is #5 because they did defeat the Bombers.

I can't imagine the top rated team would be dropped completely out of the rankings after losing in the final seconds on the road to a good football team.

Chatfield is still #1 in Class 2A, BOLD in Class 1A, Stewartville is now #1 in Class 4A, Mankato West remains atop Class 5A, Maple Grove is numero uno in Class 6A and Wheaton-Herman-Norcross sits at the #1 spot in Nine-Man.
