Friday night the Bethlehem Academy Cardinal football team traveled to Hayfield to face the win less Vikings.. Hayfield is having a difficult year with only 22 players out for the team and they only dressed 17 on Friday night.

Hayfield was doing a good job on their first series when the Cardinals Intercepted a pass. They marched it back down field and Jack Clark scored the first of 3 touchdowns and at 6:55 to go in the 1st. Langfledt's kick was good and it was 7-0. Clark had a 67 yard run for a TD at 3:18 to to go in the 1st and scored again on a 44 yard run the closing moments of the first and Langfeldt and Bokman kicked extra points to make it 21-0. Clark rushed for 166 yards on 15 carries on the game.

In the second Zac Van Thomme 29 picked one off and took it for six. The kick was not good and it was 27-0. Then Avery Hunt on a keeper took one in from the one and Ashley Rost kicked the extra point and made it 34-0 at the half.

Third quarter Nate Bauernfeind ran for 70 yards to score and Bokman's kick was good to make it 41-0. And Anthony Langfeldt took one in fourth. The extra point kick attempt had a bad snap and the cardinals threw a pass made the two point conversion but it was called back on a penalty. Langfeldt made a long kick for the extra point and it wound up 48-0.

The Cardinals 3-2 face Mayer Lutheran for Homecoming next week at Bruce Smith Field. The Crusaders are 5-0 after their win with Kenyon-Wanamingo Friday 42-14. Hayfield 0-5 faces Blooming Prairie.

Jack Clark, Daniel Beidelshies and Zac Van Thomme were the State farm Insurance Agents of Faribault players of the game.
