The Pac-12 conference is monitoring the air quality due to the fires in Oregon and they may have to consider alternative start times and maybe a different game day for Minnesota vs. Oregon State, scheduled for a 9 p.m. (Central) kickoff Saturday in Corvallis.

Despite the mild weather and a dry summer, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says that their August count shows a 26 percent decline in the Pheasant population from last year and a 32 percent drop below the 10-year average and 62 percent below the long-term average.

Now we all know that the Minneapolis and St. Paul Areas have their great spots, their good spots and not so good spots.

We have all heard Mike Lindell talking about the benefits of MyPillow. Now the Chaska company that does it's manufacturing in Shakopee is showing how Minnesota nice it can be, by sending 60,000 pillows to help out victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Let's face it we are not like Farm Director Jerry Groskreutz who can go to the state fair and find a friend and score a free lunch. Many of us are like Jerry though and don't want to spend a lot of money on food. There are some ways to get some good food on the cheap at the fair.

Two to 3 feet of rain has already fallen in parts of Texas. And there maybe another 2 feet in the next 24 hours.

The 47th annual Renaissance Festival is on near Shakopee. It's happening weekends and Labor Day through October 1. Hours are 9AM to 7PM rain or shine.

The apple breeding program began at the University of Minnesota in 1888. And they have developed nearly 30 varieties of apples. Some are no longer produced. But there is a new one this year called the Rave.

The Minnesota State Fair is underway. It runs 12 days. Do you know how much money some vendors can make in 12 days? If you have the right product and maybe if you have been with the fair awhile you could make over a million dollars.
