Faribault Fire Chief Dustin Dienst stops by KDHL for AM Minnesota 9:30 this morning to give us some cooking safety tips for the upcoming holidays.  Thanksgiving and Christmas are a couple of holidays where cooking is a big part of the tradition for many families.

Dienst wants everyone to be safe so we will discuss some cooking safety primarily, but I'm guessing we will also talk about Christmas tree lights.  Many people put a tree up just after Thanksgiving.

I know the Faribault Fire Chief is a big proponent of LED lights.  They don't burn as hot and don't use as much energy. Dienst was an electrician in his previous work so he can speak with some authority about electricity.

Managing pets and all the things they can get into during the holidays is another issue we will try to discuss on the half hour program.

If you can't tune in at 9:30 the audio from the program will be back here before the end of the day.
