Seniors on the Owatonna High School boys hockey team were already sharing a large spotlight with 19 upper classmen to honor on Tuesday night at the Four Seasons Centre. Then sophomore Owen Beyer lit up the scoreboard with four goals and three assists in a 9-0 win over Winona to wrap up the home schedule for the Huskies.

Beyer opened up the scoring midway through the first period. He added a goal early and halfway through the second stanza to complete a hat trick. He put the cherry on top late in the third period.

Seniors Tanner Stendel and Caleb Vereide each had a goal and three assists. Senior Casey Pederson scored twice and chipped in a helper. Sophomore Thomas Herzog had three assists. Senior Sam Pfieffer got the shutout victory with 19 saves. See the score sheet from Hockey Hub.

Beyer now leads the team with 13 goals and 25 points. Owatonna (9-14-1) plays their final regular season game Saturday, February 19 at Austin at 1 pm. Playoffs begin Thursday, February 24.

Owatonna's seniors include Pfieffer, Wyatt Kriesel, Grant Achterkirch, Elijah Mazariego, Ashton Hoffman, Sam Knoll, Ryan Gregory, Joey Dub, Devon Roush, Pederson, Kaden Finholdt, Levi Kubicek, Jack Sande, Vereide, Cole Schroeder, Stendel, Preston Meier, Oscar Mazariego and manager Taylor Bogen.
