Shepherd Center of the Cannon Valley executive director Rod Johnson stops by KDHL today and will be joined by John Mueller to discuss their upcoming benefit concert fundraiser.

It's the largest fundraiser for the organization that has "Seniors Helping Seniors." I'm sure Rod will give us more details about all the programming they do for people living in the Cannon Falls area.

"One Night in Memphis" is the name of the concert, and Mueller came up with the idea to feature music by such legendary performers as Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley. The concert will be Friday, April 7, at the Cannon Falls Auditorium.

The auditorium has been super for these concerts. I've seen all but one of them and can personally attest to the fact that there isn't a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are incredible.

In fact, Ricky Skaggs complimented the facility when he performed there and said he would come back anytime. Skaggs has won 17 Grammy awards in his career, so I think he knows a little bit about sound.

Tickets are available at www.onenightinmemphis.eventbrite.com.

If you can't tune in at 9:30AM for AM Minnesota then go to our YouTube channel and watch the show at a more convenient time.
