Ruth’s House Hearts Gala Details on KDHL

Ruth Hickey, Executive Director and Suzzanne Fox of the 2020 Ruth's House Hearts Gala Committee stop by KDHL 9:30 this morning.  The 17th annual event is scheduled for Saturday, February 8th at the American Legion in Faribault.

The theme for this year's event is "Pillars of Support".  The Ruth's House website says, "The American Legion venue will be transformed into a Mediterranean Experience complete with columns and greenery.  Dress in your favorite comfortable party clothes or even better a toga, and plan to sit with friends at tables seating 8 to 10 people.  Even the menu will reflect the food of that region."

The Dessert Auction is very popular at the Gala.  There will be cookies, pies, cakes, and other sweets to enjoy.  The high bidders typically share their item with others at their table.  This has provided a significant portion of the funds raised during the event.

New this year will be the game Heads or Tails, replacing the Wine Wall.  We will get details on our AM Minnesota program.

On the silent auction are children's items, food and drink certificates, Guthrie Theatre Tickets, a Lanesboro Bed and Breakfast Stay, Mystic Lake Package and much more.
