Rescue 55021 is a Faribault non-profit animal rescue made up entirely of volunteers and features pairing foster animals with homes.  Todd and Theresa Vold are the founders of the organization and Theresa will be our guest on AM Minnesota 9:30 this morning.  Their Mission Statement is ..."It is the mission of Rescue 55021 to provide lifelong care for Minnesota animals through rescue, rehabilitation, foster care, placement in forever homes or end of life comfort care."

The organization is having a end of summer Fundraising Bash on the Rice County Fairgrounds this Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until Midnight.  The bash takes place in the Beer Garden and musical entertainment will be provided by Mark Allen and the 8 Foot 4 Band.  Southside Liquor is providing the beer and assorted food trucks will be available including a Brick Oven Pizza Bus.

There are a number of activities for kids of all ages including a bouncy house, horse rides, a balloon artist, face painting.  There will be games and prizes.

They are always in need of foster families.  If you would like to become a foster for Rescue 55021 go to their website www.rescue55021.com and submit a foster application form.
