Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn updated information concerning an early Tuesday morning accident at 230th Street West and Iona Avenue in Morristown Township.

The accident was reported 5:56 a.m.

The Sheriff has released the names of the individuals in the single vehicle crash.

The driver was identified as Robyn Lynse, 17 of Warsaw.

The passenger Travis Vanhoudt, 18, of Waterville.

Here is the Sheriff's description of the incident:

"Rice County deputies, Morristown Fire/Rescue and North Ambulance were dispatched to a personal injury crash.  Upon arrival, deputies located Travis Vanhoudt whom had been ejected with critical injuries,  He was transported to D1(Allina Hospital Faribault) by ambulance and later transferred to a trauma center where he later succumbed to his injuries.  The female juvenile driver was arrested at the scene and transported to D1with minor injuries where a blood sample was obtained as alchol is believed to be a factor in the crash.  She was later released to a parent.  Criminal charges are pending the results of the blood test.  The Minnesota State patrol responded for crash reconstruction and mapping.  The crash remains under investigation."
