The Northfield Fire Department is hosting an open house Thursday, October 9th from 5:30 p.m. to Dusk.   Northfield Firefighter Josh Hall was a guest on our Professional Pride Realty Northfield program Wednesday.

The open house features free hot dogs and some giveaways for kids.  Hall informed listeners there will be fire extinguisher demonstrations.  The Northfield firefighters will also have a auto extrication demonstration.  Fire trucks will be on display.  There will be a live burn at dusk on the 5th Street bridge.

North Memorial Air Care will land their helicopter at the fire station weather permitting.

Allen is a ten year veteran of the Northfield Fire Department which is an all-volunteer department.  He is also a professional firefighter in the Twin Cities.

During this Fire Prevention Week firefighters will be happy to answer any questions you might have when you attend the open house.

The Northfield Fire Station has been renovated with more room added to the building.  The property was also elevated due to it's proximity to the Cannon River in downtown Northfield.
