Northfield Baseball Wins Battle of Rice County

The Raiders finally got their game in on Monday with Faribault at Bell Field.

Grant Hutton, junior, pitched a two hit 8-0 shutout, throwing 89 pitches, 61 strikes over 7 innings.  Hutton struck out 8, walked 1 batter.

Faribault used four pitchers in the game with Hudson Dillon starting and taking the loss.  He went 3 2/3 innings, allowing 7 hits, 5 earned runs, with 3 strikeouts, 2 walks.  Dillon threw 72 pitches, 42 strikes.

Northfield had 13 hits with five players having multiple hit games.

Aaron Reisetter, junior, had 2 hits including a double and 2 RBI.

Austin Koep, junior, had 2 of the team's 7 doubles in the game. with an RBI.

Nolan Thompson, senior, had 2 hits including a double.

Gabe Sawyer, senior, 2 hits including a double.

Charles Monaghan, senior, clubbed a 2-run double.

Kamden Kaiser, junior, had 2 of Northfield's 3 stolen bases.

The Raiders improved to 10-4 with the win while Faribault fell to 2-10 on the season.
