It was Senior day for ten Randolph fastpitch softball players who did not disappoint the home crowd in an 11-0 5-inning win over Hayfield.

The victory improved the Rockets to 11-0, the Vikings fell to 4-4.

Both teams were undefeated in Gopher Conference action prior to their meeting at Silk Field in Randolph.

Carter Raymond, senior pitcher, 2024 Gatorade Player of Year in Minnesota allowed no hits against a Hayfield team that came into the game with a team batting average of .337.

She struck out 12, 6 looking, walked one, while throwing 76 pitches, 54 strikes and faced just three batters over the minimum.

Raymond also set the tone for the game with a lead-off single off the first pitch seen from Ella Bamlet, sophomore.  Kylee Carey, senior, executed a bunt and beat the throw to first,

#4 hitter Mya Preston, junior, smacked a 2 RBI single put the Rockets ahead.

Randolph added 4 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks with Preston delivering another 2-run single following a 2 RBI hit by Allie Gillette, junior catcher.

Five more runs crossed the plate in the bottom of the third inning with Gillette collecting another RBI.  Carey hammered a 2-run double.  Kenzie Murray, sophomore shortstop had a RBI single during a 5-hit barrage by the Rockets.

Randolph finished the game with 12 hits, 2 errors, 5 runners left on base with 2 in scoring position.

Vikings pitcher Ella Bamlet threw 94 pitches, 50 strikes with 3 strikeouts. all looking and 4 walks.

United South Central blanked Bethlehem Academy 5-0 in Wells tonight to leave the Rebels undefeated in the Gopher Conference and hand the Cardinals their second loss of the season.

The game was a pitcher's duel with United South Central taking advantage of 3 Bethlehem Academy errors to score 4 unearned runs,

Mariah Anderson, junior, struck out 14 Cardinals allowing 2 hits while throwing 89 pitches, 61 strikes with no walks.  She faced just two batters over the minimum.

Morgan Wilson, senior, struck out 11 Rebels allowing 4 hits while throwing 104 pitches, 73 strikes with no walks.

Anderson fanned every batter in the Bethlehem Academy hitting order and Wilson struck out all but one United South Central hitter in their lineup.

The Rebels had 3 stolen bases in the win.

USC is 10-0m BA fell to 5-3.  The latest Minnesota Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association had United South Central ranked #1 and Bethlehem Academy #2 in Class A.

The Cardinals host Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Thursday with a 4:30 p.m. first pitch.  The game is scheduled to be broadcast on KDHL 920 AM, 97.9 FM, FREE KDHL app worldwide.
