Minnesota Boys State High School Rankings

The Minnesota Basketball News ranks the top 20 teams in each class for the Associated press.

In Class A, Goodhue drops to sixth in the state and Spring Grove is ninth. Cleveland is 12th while defending state champion Minneapolis North has been atop the rankings all season.

In Class 2A, Minnehaha Academy is on top with Caledonia second and unbeaten Melrose third. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown jumps to eighth thanks in part from their win over No. 9 New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva. Lake City drops to 12th and Pine Island finally cracks the top 20 at 19th. I've been saying for weeks they belong in the top 20.

In Class 3A, DeLaSalle is still on top and Austin, with their only loss to a 4A school (John Marshall), is sixth. Waseca is eighth, Faribault 18th and Northfield 19th.

In Class 4A, Apple Valley is third and Lakeville North fourth after the Eagles got by the Panthers recently. New Prague is ninth and Rochester John Marshall 19th.
