Rice County Public Health is partnering with Robinwood Apartments in Faribault to offer Living Well with Chronic Conditions classes.  Participants meet for 2 1/2 hours once each week for six weeks.  We will get more details from Rice County Public Health SHIP Coordinator Josh Ramaker on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program at 9:30 a.m.

Classes begin Wednesday, October 2 and run through November 13 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Robinwood Apartments, 1324 Prairie Avenue, Faribault.  There will be no class on October 23.

There is no cost.  In fact participants can earn $20 when they complete four of the six workshops.  These are open to the public.  Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, October 1.

Please call Rice County Public Health at 507-332-6111 to register or online at yourjuniper.org.

This evidence-based program helps people with chronic conditions live healthier and fuller lives.

Together with other attendees, class participants will learn and practice ways to improve how they take care of themselves and enjoy life.  Discussion areas include self-management skills, practical ways to cope with pain and fatigue, better nutrition and exercise choices, new treatment options, and methods for speaking with a health care provider or family member about health.
