The Blue Collar BBQ and Arts Festival hosted by the Paradise Center for the Arts is the summer’s premiere downtown Faribault music event that I look forward to each year. Spend your day listening to 12 hours of live music from a great line-up of bands starting at 11AM Saturday, August 12. That day's musical entertainment includes the Home Fires, the Joyann Parker Band, Son of a Bueller, Moses Oakland Quartet and Tim Mahoney and a band all the way from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Element 13. Rich Larson from Left Handed Entertainment stopped by the studio Tuesday morning to give us the lowdown on this year's line-up. Left Handed Entertainment, which is run by Rich and former Paradise Center for the Arts Executive Director Ryan Heinritz, is the promotion company that lined up the bands for the day's entertainment.

On top of all the great music there’s a BBQ competition, a variety of food and beverages, crafts and artwork and plenty of things for the kids to do and more. This is definitely a can’t-miss event.
