Heidi Nelson, Executive director of the Paradise Center for the Arts (PCA) in Faribault told KDHL AM Minnesota listeners today (Monday, April 3, 2023) they can purchase a new seat in the theater.

A Sample of the seat sits in the front lobby of the PCA.  There is a sign with information behind it.

The seats will have cup holders on the back of each in theory eliminating spills except in the front row where obviously there will be no seats infront.

The sides will contain the current copper plated ends.

I did sit in the sample seat, it was comfortable.

Nelson emphasized the current seats have served PCA well since opening in 2007, adding it's time for a change to a more comfortable seat.

They will have a slightly wider bottom, but no seats will be lost with the installation.

Those purchasing seats will not be able to sit in the specific one they purchase for shows they attend.

The PCA Executive Director stated they will be placing a plaque somewhere inside the theatre area.

Nelson says seats can be purchased for $460 each.

Most have been purchasing two at a time, $920, with 87 seats purchased.

That leaves approximately 191 seats to go.
