Faribault High School DECA Chapter Highlighted on AM Minnesota
Some members of the Faribault High School DECA Chapter stop by our KDHL studios for today's AM MInnesota Program at 9:30 a.m. We will visit with Kelsie Demars, Gabrielle Hollund, Erica Johnsrud and Madelyn Wehe.
The DECA website states, "DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe."
DECA has been in existence for 75 years, founded in 1946. The DECA website notes they have 3,500 high school chapters and 275 collegiate chapters.
DECA Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit student organization with more than 215,000 members in all 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Canada, China, Germany, Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Spain.
The program has been authorized by the United States Congress, United States Department of Education and state, district and international departments of education.
We are looking forward to having these local youth on AM Minnesota to learn more about what the local chapter is doing.
