Faribault City Council members Jana Viscomi and John Rowan are scheduled to be our guests on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program.  The show is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. each Monday through Friday and features a variety of topics.  Faribault Council members are scheduled to visit with us each quarter this year.  These two council members terms are scheduled to expire at the end of this year.  I will ask if they are planning to file for re-election.  Filings begin 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2018 and end at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

The other Faribault City Council member with a term expiring at the end of this year is Kay Duchene, the current council member with the longest service.  I'll ask our guests about the particulars of filing for those of you who might be interested in serving your community in that capacity.  There are several topics we could discuss and unfortunately some days the program isn't long enough but some of the topics I will attempt to discuss include the recent zoning issue along Western Avenue.

Downtown parking recommendations included increasing fines for violations and issuing a permit for people who live downtown.

At their City Council meeting earlier this week a request for proposal was included for construction of a water treatment plant for the city.

If you can't tune in this morning the show is uploaded to our website www.kdhlradio.com by mid-afternoon the day of the program.
