The Falcons had a 6-run first inning propel them to a 11-2 win Wednesday over the North Branch Vikings at Bell Field.

Ayden Qualey got the win while allowing 2 hits in 5 innings of work.  He threw 72 pitches, 45 strikes with 3 strikeouts, 2 walks and a hit batter.  Hudson Dillon finished the game going 2 innings with 2 strikeouts, 1 walk.  He threw 29 pitches, 17 strikes.

Faribault belted 11 hits led by Hunter Nelson with 2 hits including a double and 2 RBI.

Brad Sartor had 2 hits.  Hudson Dillon 2 hits including a double.

Henry Schoolmeesters did not miss a home run by much with the ball smacking high off the elevated fence down the left field line for a double.

Designated hitter Andy Donahue collected 2 RBI for the Falcons.  Aiden Tobin had a hit and RBI. Michael Crone knocked in the first run.

Qualey with a RBI single, Faribault had 4 stolen bases. Two by Nelson, one for Tobin and one for Braeden Mensing.

Isaiah Scarborough started on the mound for the Vikings and lasted one inning, allowing 4 hits, 6 runs with 1 strikeout.  He threw 46 pitches, 22 strikes.

North Branch came into the game on a two game win streak.  They are coached by former Faribault Falcon Steve Christensen.

Faribault now 1-5 goes to Albert Lea Tuesday for a doubleheader. First pitch is 4:00 p.m.

North Branch members of the Mississippi 8 Conference are 3-3, host St. Francis 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
