The St. Paul Winter Carnival for 2021 is the latest victim of COVID-19 changes, but they aren't letting the event not happen. They have taken the ice and snow sculpture portion and are turning it into a drive-through experience at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

Upon entering the route, your car will receive a swag bag, bingo card, and the chance to purchase some treats to enjoy during the ride as you view dozens of snow and ice masterpieces sculpted by local artisans and Winter Carnival favorites.

In addition to all of that you will be able to meet members of the Vulcan Krewe, the Winter Carnival Royal Family, and the Klondike Kates on select days of the event. This snow and ice carving and sculpting spectacular is normally held in Rice Park, but the move to the fairgrounds allows for vehicles to safely maneuver and get more guests out to see the creations.

The ice and snow sculptures will be available for viewing from Thursday, January 28th - Sunday, February 7th. Tickets are not yet available for this drive-thru event, but when they are they will be available on the Winter Carnival website.
