Divine Mercy Spirit Fest is This Weekend
Divine Mercy Catholic Church celebrates their annual Spirit Fest Family Festival this weekend. Saturday there is a soccer tournament from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Food and drinks will be available.
Our KDHL AM Minnesota program will get all the details 9:30 a.m. Thursday when we broadcast from Divine Mercy Catholic Church. Spirit Fest is held on the church grounds just across from our radio towers. All are welcome.
New this year is a Euchre Tournament fundraiser for the church. Entry cost is ten dollars per person. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 points totals. Game starts 1:00 p.m. Sunday. Check in ends at 12:15 p.m.
The Tournament will be held in a tent next to the Beer Garden with TV's showing the Vikings game. Bingo will also be played from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. under the Dinner Tent.
A Polka Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mariachi Mass at Noon. Other Masses Sunday are at 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Family Fun begins 11:00 a.m. with free inflatables for the kids and a number of free kids activities. Some kids activities do have a cost like face painting.
The tasty Open Pit Dinner featuring chicken and ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, dinner roll and homemade dessert is $12.00 for adults, children aged 4-11 eat for $6.00. Serving is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Food and Beverage Stands open on the grounds at 11:00 a.m. with a variety of foods available until 4:00 p.m.
Live music on the grounds features Gary's Ridgeland Dutchmen from Noon to 4:00 p.m. on the stage under the Main Tent.
Mariachi Estella strolls the grounds from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
On the central lawn Chicken Plop Poker will be played.
A Priest competition takes place at 1:45 p.m. next to the Main Tent.
There's a Farmer's Market from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Beer Garden is open 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
