The 104th Cannon Valley Fair is fast approaching and KDHL will be conducting an hour long AM Minnesota program today from the fairgrounds in Cannon Falls.  We will speak with multiple guests about all the fun people experience at one of the state's only remaining community fairs.

More information can be obtained by going to www.cannonvalleyfair.org.  The Cannon Valley Fair has a terrific demolition derby because it's one of the first in the area.  Two horse shows Saturday unofficially begin the fair.  There is no admission for those in the horse arena.

Sunday in the grandstand there is a Truck and Tractor Pull at 4:00 p.m.  Open Class Exhibits and 4H Building Exhibits Entry and Judging takes place.  The Cannon Valley Fair truly represents what life is like in the Cannon Valley.

Agriculture is embraced.  It's a terrific "practice fair" for showing at County Fairs in the area in hopes of gaining State Fair entry.

The grandstand show Tuesday is a Combine Demo/Lawn Mower Derby, Wednesday the Demolition Derby takes place and Thursday after a parade you can watch Harness Horse Racing at 2:00 p.m. in the grandstand.

Free musical entertainment features the Community Band at 6:00 p.m. Monday followed by local musician and songwriter Hayden Ashworth from 7:00-9:00 p.m.  Tuesday the Local Hooligans Band takes the stage from 8:00-11:00 p.m.  Wednesday The Shane Martin Band is featured from 9:00-Midnight.  Thursday enjoy Dave Carpenter Contriband before the massive fireworks.  The band is on stage from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

There are scores of other happenings during the fair too.  Stardust Circus was so popular they are back with three shows daily at 2:00, 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.

Tune in from 9:30 to 10:30 this morning and you will be informed about everything happening at the 104th Cannon Valley Fair in Cannon Falls.

Thanks to Milo Peterson Ford in Kenyon, Nelson Insurance Agency and Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls for bringing the preview to you.
