Buckham West Executive Director is on KDHL

Buckham West Executive Director Mona Kaiser says they recently held their open house to celebrate the expansion of the former Faribault Senior Center.  Kaiser will be on AM Minnesota at 9:30 a.m. today on KDHL.

Did you know that every Wednesday at Noon Buckham West hosts FREE blood pressure checks?  There is no appointment necessary.  The service is provided by Pleasant Manor/Pleasant View Estates, Faribault Senior Living, Heritage House, Intrepid Home Care and St. Lucas/Deaconess Towers.

Buckham West has a foot clinic, assists with writing your health care directive, provides health insurance counseling and has a family caregiver support group.

The support group meets the 4th Tuesday of the month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Milestone Senior Living, 2500 14th Street NE for conversation with other caregivers.  There is no charge and it's open to everyone.

Various card games are featured.  There is a book club.  Some crafts work is also conducted.

Senior Dining meals are served Monday through Friday beginning 11:30 a.m.  Cost is a suggested donation of $4 for those age 60 and over, under 60, full meal cost $7.
