Big Hats Big Hearts Paradise Fundraiser is this Weekend
The Paradise Center for the Arts has a fundraiser this weekend that I've been told is loads of fun. I have not been able to attend because typically I am either doing a broadcast or have had other plans. I enjoy the Kentucky Derby and admire the power and grace of the horses that compete but rarely have the opportunity to watch the race. The big screen is used at the Paradise Center in downtown Faribault.
In addition there is a live auction and Rod Johnson of Cannon Falls is back to make that call. He will join us on our AM Minnesota program today from Cannon Falls. Dr. Michael Hildebrandt will bring his fiddle to our show and is part of the entertainment Saturday night. Paradise Executive Director Kristen Twitchell and Operations Manager Julie Fakler are also stopping by our KDHL Studio to give us details about this weekend's event at 9:30 a.m.
There will also be a silent auction and a variety of unique items and experiences are up for bid including a Monroe Crossing Bluegrass Staycation and many arts classes.
On the live auction are a private dinner with Senator John Jasinski, a mystery outing with Faribault Mayor Kevin Voracek and a Gunflint Trail cabin getaway.
Rod will be conducting his popular Fund A Need segment and this year those funds will help support technology upgrades at the Paradise.
Guests have a chance to win gift cards donated by local businesses or other Paradise prizes when they purchase a Big Hats and Big Hearts glass.
The event is this Saturday, May 5 starting at 4:00 p.m. Advance tickets are $20 and include entry into a drawing for a $400 performance package at the Paradise. Tickets at the door are $25.
