The BA Cardinals defeated Waterville-Elysian-Morristown 68-60 in Waterville Friday night in a very entertaining high school basketball game.

Both teams had multiple players score over 20 points in the Gopher Conference contest.

The Buccaneers are in the West Division, Cardinals East Division of the league.

Bethlehem Academy is now 12-7 overall, 7-7 in Gopher action while Waterville-Elysian-Morristown fell to 3-16 overall, 2-13 in conference play.

Both teams had leads in each half with the Cardinals leading 29-28 at the half.

BA finished the game with 18 turnovers on my sheet with the Buccaneers scoring 20 points off them while WEM had 13 turnovers and the Cardinals scored 11 points off turnovers on my scoresheet.

Bethlehem Academy had 4 starters play every second of the game after playing in Medford on Thursday night.

Hudson Dillon, junior, 6'2 achieved 27 points and 12 rebounds and Charlie King, senior, added 20 points, 11 rebounds.

Aaron Huerta, junior, 6'2 went down with a ankle injury in the first half and did not see the floor the rest of the night.

BA statistics had their team with 38 rebounds  and WEM with 22.

Free throws were a key for the Cardinals also with 10 of 18 compared to 6 of 10 for the Buccaneers.

WEM guard Gavin Brown, sophmore, 5'8, had 25 points. Freshman, 6'2, Talen Taylor added 21 points.

The Buccaneers had 6 three point baskets, Cardinals 2.
