AM Minnesota Mazeppa Daze

Mazeppa Daze will be the topic on today's AM Minnesota Program. My guest will be City Administrator Karl Nahrgang. I remember talking with Karl last year on AM Minnesota about Mazeppa Daze. There is always something special about talking with someone about their community celebration. Officially Mazeppa Daze runs today through Sunday with all kinds of activities. Looking at the schedule of events there are a couple things that makes Mazeppa Daze Unique.

Most community celebrations have their Grand Parade as a final event to wrap up the celebration. Mazeppa Daze kind of "kick off" the celebration with the parade as their Grand Parade is this evening. The other special event I feel is the Field of Honor. The opening ceremony was last evening at Jaycee Park. Citizens can sponsor a flag in honor of someone. The huge field of flags with lights will fly for the entire weekend! The Mazeppa Honor Guard stands watch over the Field on Honor the entire weekend!
