We've got another adoptable animal that is available here in Southern Minnesota. This week we are highlighting Bella. While Bella might look tough, she is a sweet and loving pet when you get past any sort of breed stigma associated with types of dogs like her.

Our friend Michaela Tews, a volunteer at the Mower County Humane Society has more on Bella.

Bella arrived at the shelter on July 30 as an owner surrender. Her family life experienced a huge upheaval that resulted in no one being able to care for her. Bella is around 18 months old and appears to be a pit bull-type gal mixed with maybe Cane Corso.

She is a very large and muscular gal who is really strong. Her ears were cropped very close to her head which is unfortunate, but she is still a beauty. She has been vet checked, spayed, and chipped and her fee is $125.

Bella did have a litter of puppies about 5-6 months ago. No more! She needs some basic training as her leash skills are not the greatest. She will need a strong and confident person who has had some experience with dogs like her. She does love people and has lived with kids.

Bella does need to be the only pet in the home. No rentals, please.

NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved.

Applications can be submitted through the Mower County Humane Society's website, found here.

We also have an update on another available animal, Alma, who now has her cost of adoption sponsored, get more information on her below.
