Twas the week of Christmas and all through the house, the critters were running wild as you found you had a mouse! Freddie is our adoptable animal this week, and she is looking for that forever home. Freddie escaped being put down after no one came to claim her, this is her chance to live the rest of her years in a warm and loving forever home.

With more on Freddie, we turn to Mower County Humane Society volunteer Michaela, who has more information on what type of situation Freddie is looking for.

Freddie was rescued from the Austin City Pound in the fall of 2021 when she was due to be euthanized because her owners did not come to claim her. She is a very, very nice girl!. Freddie has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV, is now spayed, and is current on all of her shots. She is about 3 years old. We are looking for a loving, indoor-only home for Freddie. Her adoption fee is $50 or 2 cats for $75. A pet carrier is required at the time of adoption and you must be 21 to adopt from MCHS.

To meet Freddie or any of our cats, head here, and complete/submit our online application.

And of course, we wanted to feature an adoption update just in time for the holidays too. This update is on a cat from Helping Paws of Southern Minnesota, located in Owatonna, who was recently adopted.

One last thing, it is the holiday season, so if you would like to volunteer or make a donation to one of the many humane societies or pet rescues in our area, I know they would appreciate it very much to give the regular volunteers a break, or to help keep the lights on.
