The Cannon Falls Bombers lived up to their name Tuesday night, connecting for 10 ace serves in a three-set victory over the Goodhue Wildcats in the Bombers' Hangar. Scores were 25-10, 25-21 and 25-23.

In the first set, Cannon Falls simply ran away from Goodhue, unofficially holding them to four total kills while collecting four ace serves.

Five-foot-5-inch sophomore Molly Bowen led the way with two ace serves, 5-foot-7 junior setter Kara Loeschke and 5-foot-6 sophomore setter Rachel Huseth added aces also.

The Bombers had no service errors on the night while collecting three aces in each of the next two sets also. Huseth had two aces in the second set and 5-foot-3 junior libero Tatum Pickar added one. Pickar also had an ace in the third set, along with Loeschke and Grace Hall.

Unofficially, I had 5-foot-7 junior Grace Hall with 11 kills for Cannon Falls in the three sets. Loeschke had four dump kills spread out over the three sets.

Tatum Pickar is just an amazing player to watch. She just always happens to be in the right place because of her ability to read where the ball is going, and you can tell she enjoys going on the attack when given the chance.

Goodhue was led by 5-foot-11 junior Sydney Lodermeier with an unofficial seven kills on the night, and 5-foot-8 senior Maddy Miller provided a spark off the bench with six kills.

With the win, Cannon Falls improved their record to 11-15 and Goodhue fell to 10-13 on the season.
