Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Residents of southeastern Minnesota enjoyed a milder than expected afternoon.

In Rochester, it was the warmest day this year. The unofficial high temperature recorded at the Rochester Airport was 44-degrees, which was 13-degrees shy of the record for the date but was also the warmest it has been since December 4th when the temperature was reached 64-degrees. The weather observation station on top of the St. Mary’s hospital helipad recorded a high temperature of 48-degrees.

Most communities in southeastern Minnesota saw the temperature rise into the low to mid-40s this afternoon, while people living and working in the Winona and La Crosse areas enjoyed afternoon readings in the mid-50s.
