Take a Magical Winter Sleigh Ride in Southeastern Minnesota
There's a cozy place you can stay in Southeastern Minnesota, Whalan to be specific. The place is called Cyclin-Inn. Not only is it a cute place to stay but there's also an amazing, magical, winter wonderland-like experience you can have while here. Hop on their horse-drawn sleigh ride!
This is like out of a movie! There are 2 beautiful horses hooked up to the "sleigh" that you'll ride in with your group. The ride lasts about an hour, so plenty of time to enjoy the winter wonderland around you while cozied up under some blankets.
You don't have to stay at Cyclin-Inn in order to try out the sleigh ride. It costs $100 for a group of 4, or $25 per person (if you have more than 4 people), whichever is more. If you have less than 4 people in our group let them know when you call, they may be able to work something out. On their website, they say they'll put you with another small group that also wants to go but I'm not sure if that's something they do right now because of COVID.
During the hour-long ride, you get to experience over 100 acres of wooded, private property. About halfway through there's also a stop at the scenic overlook, overlooking the Root River Valley. There is also a warming house and bathrooms at this stop. And according to their website, you can bring drinks and snacks to munch on at the warming house.
If you'd like to make a reservation, contact Duane at 507-272-2149. When you reserve your sleigh ride you also need to pay half of the total cost as a non-refundable deposit.
