Summer in Minnesota is something to be treasured. After a long, cold winter, I think we in the north appreciate the warm days a bit more, and I know for many people, that means spending as much time outside as possible. With easy access to lakes, rivers, biking trails, and hiking, Faribault has a lot to offer those inclined to spend some time outside. But if you're in the mood for something more l
Last year the Paradise Center for the Arts hosted The Crown Jewels, a Queen tribute band and opening for them was Horizontal Hero. I've had the Loverboy song "Working for the Weekend" in my head throughout the day as we draw closer to the weekend. Despite the threat of a few rain showers on Saturday, overall, the forecast is looking warm and like an ideal time to enjoy all that fall has to offer. If you're looking for some weekend inspiration, I've rounded up a few of the things going on in our area this weekend!
The trees are officially bursting with color in our area, the temps have cooled, and school pride is bursting. Bethlehem Academy celebrates their homecoming this weekend, but there are plenty of other things going on too!

You can see all of the flood and rain info and images here. Unfortunately, some people will spend this weekend still deal

After quite a bit of rain recently, it looks like the skies have cleared up and it's safe to put the umbrellas away for the weekend. Temps are still relatively warm making it perfect to get out and enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer, as well as check out the some of the great events going on in the area.
Here in Faribault, we are fortunate to have the River Bend Nature Center located within city limits. It is a gorgeous area with more than 700 acres of land that can be roamed on well maintained trails, river views and educational programs. It is one of my favorite places in Faribault, and if you agree, then you can help support the operations of the River Bend Nature Center by attending the River
