Stewartville Man Severely Injured in Crash With Crop Sprayer
Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Stewartville man was airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital with what the State Patrol has described as life-threatening injuries following a traffic crash involving a large piece of farm equipment this morning.
The State Patrol says 80-year-old Larry Turner was driving west on Highway 30 east of Stewartville around 9:30 a.m. when he attempted to pass a crop sprayer just as the driver of the farm implement was making a left turn. The resulting collision caused Turner's car to roll several times into the ditch.
The driver of the crop sprayer, 49-year-old Rodney Krell of Blooming Prairie, was not injured.
