Dakota, MN (KROC-AM  News) - A motorcyclist from Winona was transported to a La Crosse Hospital following a crash today on Highway 61.

The State Patrol says 46-year-old Jeffery Alseth was alone on his motorcycle when he lost control and it fell on its side. He was wearing a helmet and his injuries were described as non-life threatening.

The crash was reported just after noon near the Dakota exit north of La Crescent. Thousands of motorcyclists were in the area Saturday for the annual Fall Flood Run although the official route was along Highway 61 between the Twin Cities and Winona.
