Fatal Traffic Accident in Southern MN, Vehicle Being Sought

A Southern Minnesota traffic accident claimed the life of a Mankato woman on Monday afternoon.

The State Patrol reports an eastbound vehicle operated by 26-year-old Dennis Egge of Mankato was traveling on Highway 60 west of Lake Crystal. A Ford SUV cut off Egge's vehicle possibly making contact. Egge's vehicle then entered the ditch and rolled claiming the life of his passenger, 20-year-old Jalynn Williams of Mankato.

The Ford SUV also went into the median and got back on eastbound Highway 60. The Ford SUV has not been found. Williams was not wearing a seat belt. Egge who was wearing a seat belt was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident occurred around 4:40 pm on Monday afternoon.
