Rochester Woman Accused Of Trying To Kill Her Kids Demands Trial
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman charged with trying to kill her kids pleaded not guilty Tuesday and demanded a jury trial.
In court for a brief hearing was 33-year-old Farhiyo Abdullahi.
She is accused of putting her 5 young children in her car and filling it with exhaust fumes until some became sick last October. She has been charged with five counts of 1st degree premeditated attempted murder.
Abdullahi was involuntarily committed last December after a psychological evaluation determined she was mentally ill and suffering from Schizophrenia. She was treated and found competent two months later.
No trial date has been scheduled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
