A graphic designer who goes by u/shutupaugust on the social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website recently shared his pretty cool re-imaginations of flags from around Minnesota.

"I redesigned the flags of some Minnesota cities and towns!" he captioned his post, which features reinterpretations of flags from around Minnesota including Apple Valley, Little Canada, Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove, Minneapolis, Rochester, Duluth, St. Paul, and Faribault.

Of course, one might have greater appreciation for these re-imagined flags when compared to the current flags, some of which you can find (with no shortage of sarcastic commentary from City Pages) here. The new designs, however, have received nothing but positive feedback from fans online.

"I really like the Duluth, Woodbury, and St. Paul flags you designed," said reddit user sadbearsfan52.

"These are so cool!" praised michaelnv710. "Where did you get the idea for the stars in Rosemount’s flag?"

"On Rosemount’s flag, the stars represent the twin cities," clarifies u/shutupaugust, "and Rosemount’s location halfway between them."

"Edina is, of course, a richly detailed 3-layer cake," joked Drzhivago138, referring to the nickname "cake-eaters" frequently given to the wealthy people of Edina.

"Reply to this comment with cities and towns you want included in part 2!" said u/shutupaugust in the comments. Suggestions have included Mankato, Brainerd, Bemidji, Bloomington, Lakeville, Richfield, Savage, Stillwater, Winona, Elk River, White Bear Lake and St. Cloud. St. Cloud, for it's part, doesn't have an official flag, according to the same City Pages article referred to before.
