Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The latest catalytic converter theft in Rochester is also one of the largest reported in the city so far.

First Student - the bus company that provides service to Rochester Public Schools - is reporting 24 devices were removed from buses last weekend.

They were valued at $1500 apiece.

The thieves cut a hole in a security fence to get to the buses. The First Student site is located in the 2000 block of 32nd Ave NW. 

The largest theft reported to Rochester police since last fall happened in November.  Thieves stole a total of 27 converters from trucks parked at U-Haul Moving & Storage near the Barlow Plaza.
