Palmer Candy Recalls Sea Salt Caramel Hearts Sold In MN
Just in time for the busy Valentine's Day candy season comes this recall: Palmer Candy Company has issued a voluntary recall of their Sea Salt Caramel Hearts product. The issue is a possible peanut allergy concern.
The recall comes from an internal source. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), team members observed a peanut stuck to the outside of some of the candy product in question; peanuts are not an ingredient used to the manufacture of the sea salt caramel hearts, thus they aren't listed on the product label. The candy was sold in a variety of states - including Minnesota.
