it was just about a week ago I read on Pro Farmer that the final 25 percent of the Market Facilitation Payments round two may not be made with the signing of the Phase 1 Trade Deal with China. Remember in round two we received 50 percent of the payment when we signed up, another 25 percent last fall. We were told the final 25 percent would be made in January or February depending on if Secretary Perdue determined they were needed.

In the Pro Farmer News Letter from last Friday Secretary Perdue was quoted: "absolutely expects the third tranche of Market Facilitation program payments to be distributed to farmers." Also, Secretary Perdue and President Trump spoke and the American Farm Bureau Convention in Austin Texas and they said the final payments will be made.

So, I have two reliable sources saying the final 25 percent will paid. However, local Farm Service Agency offices have not yet received authorization to make the payments. Stay tuned!
