A Northfield woman was uninjured in a three-vehicle crash that happened in Olmsted County last night on Highway 52. A 47-year-old Rochester man was the only injured party in the crash and the Minnesota State Patrol reported the injuries to be non-life threatening.

The three vehicles were all heading southbound on Highway 52 last night around 5 P.M. when traffic came to a standstill just North of 100th St NW, Oronoco, Olmsted County according to the Minnesota State Patrol report.

A 2014 Ford Fusion being driven by 47-year-old Robert Mcintosh of Rochester, came to a stop in the left lane due to the stopped traffic. A Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by a 60-year-old Pelican Rapids woman then came to a stop behind the Fusion.

A 2006 Volvo S40 Sedan, driven by 19-year-old Serena Malecha of Northfield, failed to slow down in time then rear-ended the Jeep which then caused the Jeep to rear-end the Fusion.

At the time of the crash, road conditions were reported to be dry.

Mcintosh was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester by a Mayo ambulance. Also assisting the Minnesota State Patrol at the scene was the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office.
