The Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals received the #2 seeding

The Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals received the #2 seeding for the Section 1A fastpitch softball tournament.

The Cardinals (12-5) will play Lyle/Pacelli (1-15) at North Alexander Park in Faribault on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 5;00 P.M.

BA is the defending Section 1A champion and if they win, would host a Tuesday, May 21, 2024 game also at 5:00 p.m.

Their opponent would be either #7 seed Lewiston-Altura (10-10) or #10 seed Mabel-Canton (10-9).

Blooming Prairie is the top seed and does not play until Tuesday, May 21, 2024 when they would host either #8 seed Houston (13-7) or #9 seed Goodhue (7-13). Goodhue is at Houston Monday evening at 5:00 p.m.

#3 seed Southland (15-3) has #14 Schaeffer Academy of Rochester (3-15) come to their field Monday. The winner will face the victor of #6 Wabasha-Kellogg (10-10) and #11 Rushford-Peterson (5-15).

#4 seed Hayfield (11-8) hosts #13 Spring Grove (5-11) and #5 Kenyon-Wanamingo (8-8) has #12 Fillmore Central/Lanesboro (4-15) travel to Wanamingo Monday with the winners colliding on Tuesday at the highest seed.

After Tuesday games action becomes double-elimination and resumes Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Todd Park North in Austin for the Blooming Prairie side bracket and Todd Park South for the Bethlehem Academy side bracket.

The Section 1A champion is scheduled to be determined on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

The MSHSL State Softball Tournament is June 5-7, 2024 at Caswell Park in North Mankato.
